I was never really a fan of Coldplay, but recently I've just realised that they have some REALLY good songs! And yes, I've been trying to develop a wider range of music knowledge. Long way to go. heh. I used to only listen to female singers. Maybe coz I always admire their distinctive voices. But I realised now, even MALE singers/bands are very unique and distinctive too. Good, no?

I'm coming to terms with the fact that my mom will never fully support if I want to pursue a singing career. She wants the safe and secure option. The traditional eastern mentality. Well, not all parents are supportive of their child's dreams. I've grown up having her stomp on that dream, so it wouldn't hurt that bad if she does it again this time.

THEREFORE, singing shall only be a hobby. My FAVOURITE time-passer. *Smiles*

Day 17: A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

Since I didn't post a picture when I was supposed to, I'll compensate by posting TWO pictures for this title. Because I can! :) (urgh, I still hate new Blogger for not being able to support emoticons).

Huge Impact.

1) Australia

  Took this at the G.A.S. station during AleemTheChut's 21st birthday =)

Was there for one semester and I dare say, it was the best time of my life as of now. I've never had so much fun before. Stepping out of my comfort zone have really allowed me to see so many things differently. Also, I've met many special friends! Whenever I told people I'll be going to the Peninsula campus, they'd be like, "HUH?! THAT'S SO FAR FROM THE CITY!" True that. But it just made it all the more fun! It's not so much of WHERE you stay. it's WHO u're around. so what if it's far from the city? I spend less money. (Maybe not on travelling heh heh. but still!) And I get to have long chats with good friends in the train ride.

Given a choice, I'd definitely go back.

I've been going to bootcamp for 2 months plus now. Of course, I'm inconsistent coz of ASSignments, exams, and my exercise buddy/transport provider, Ali! We go to the 545am sessions (yes. 545am. some say it's insane. But if u've got good bunch of exercise friends doing the same torturous workouts with you, it all doesnt matter). 2-3 times a week.

When I 1st joined bootcamp, I thought I wouldnt survive the 1st week. Someone even said to me "YOU'D DIE. YOU WOULD COMPLAIN AND DIE." complaints, YES. MUSCLE ACHE LA. The 1st time I went, I literally couldn't get out of bed. No kidding. Die? almost. But I usually survive. *peace* win! The intensity of workouts is very high. Mentally I could take it. But physically, bleargh. As much as I'd like to think that my body is strong and mighty, it isnt. Still, I dont give up =D I mean, why should I?!

This is my rationale: I might not be losing weight (which really, I have not even after bootcamp. heh.) but at least I know I am living healthy. I can eat and still I work it out in the mornings. See those red shirts? From the left, SargeTom, StaffSargeDann, and CorpWan.

Their favourite quotes: COMMON *insert name*! PUSH HARDER! GO DEEPER! FASTER! FINISH STRONG! WELL DONE! HOOYAH! And I believe, these words will never leave my head. =)

Do I hope for good results? Of course! who doesn't?! But till 4th December 2011 comes, I'll be having my own joyride.
